The NFC South is looking a little rough. All four teams are 0-1 making this the widest division in week two. Atlanta is looking to take a step forward putting Cooper Rush under center. Hoping after a few practices in the last two weeks Cooper will be able to improve and get the Falcons going this season. With Penix Jr still unavailable for Sunday they are going to need everyone to step up this week against a Carolina Panthers team that has had problems for just as long. Although the Panthers won the last three meeting between the two teams including both match ups last season.

Both teams on Sunday are looking to turn things around. Even though 0-1 is not the worst start both teams feel like there back is against the wall. Atlanta is going to have to take advantage of Carolinas run defense after they gave up a whopping 291 rushing yards to Chicago last week. This Falcons team is not the team you want to allow the run game to get started. Having the number one RB in the league is on the Falcons side most of the time but this week will be ideal. With Cooper Rush under center Falcons are hoping for one more week of dumped passes and Bijan with over 25 touches. If the Falcons can keep their cool, don’t give up silly mistakes and stay home they should come out 1-1. While Home field advantage is also on the Falcons side they will look to celebrate more than a win with this season opener. They have a short week a head going to Green Bay but for now they are home and ready to make magic.

The Panthers have a different plan coming into Atlanta. Protect Young at all cost, establish a decent run game to keep the Falcons on their heels and force Atlanta to chase points. Young is going to try and tired the lines and put balls were only one person can catch it. Does that mean its his team mate not all the time. Atlanta going have to stay discipline and watch Youngs eyes.

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”
