The Atlanta Falcons season has not even begun yet and things are looking obsolete. With Tua now going down with an oblique injury Thursday the Falcons QB situation just became a little more murky. Its anyone guess as to who will be the Falcons starting Quarterback Week one against the Steelers. Is this a strategy the falcons are playing, if so this would not be the game nor would this game matter to either side.

After making a pass on Thursday Tua grabbed his lower back and lowered himself to the field sustaining a oblique injury. Tua did not throw another pass that day. Footage shows Tua taking a few steps but ultimately not putting much pressure while standing on the sideline. after a few mins Tua was able to Jog down to field without assistants.

Just last week Penix Jr was pushing for Tua to become the starter. Rumors are spinning that if Penix takes the starting job Tua will be released, although unconfirmed at this time. After a quick down fall from 2023 when leading the league in passing Tua has not been the same. Miami offensive line did not help him at all and the falcons have been slowly putting pieces together and stacking their line adding Jawaan Taylor and Ryan Neuzil taking over snaps at center.

Meanwhile Cooper Rush was taking snap with the first team offence after Tua went down. Does that mean he will be the starter for week one, No definitely not especially with the Falcons recent luck. “It might be the (Jack) Strand kid who winds up with that job” once NFL exec said. But who ever it is The Falcons have all the weapons they need to calk up a W in the win category against the Arron Rogers and the Steelers.
