Everything comes in twos for the Atlanta Falcons. 2 Quarterbacks scratched from the line up, 2 interceptions, and 2 missed fields goals. Week one for the Falcons was everything they needed to start the season. Yes you read correct they needed this, they are 0-1 but so is the rest of the NFC South division.

After the week 1 lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-13 The Falcons still remain optimistic. After every team in the NFC South started with a Loss, the Falcons still look like they have the most complete team. Even without franchise quarterback named for week 2 they will come off a loss that fueled them and opened eyes. The defense held its own only allowing 58 rushing yards to the Steelers, although T.J watt had 2 sacks and a pick 6 to solidify the Falcons fate. With the new Falcon star Za’Darius Smith leading the team with 2 sack he entered the game like her never left. After Suffering a family incident last year and leaving the Eagles midway through the season he looks to make a statement here and help the falcons contain the edges.

What really made an impact on the game would be two missed field goal by veteran Nick Folk. Missing a 54 and a 45 yard field goal were crucial to the Falcons lost leaving valuable paints off the board. Having a veteran kicker in situations like this are great to have. Nick Folk showed in the second half that the first half did not effect him coming out and hitting his last two. Although those points did not effect the score much having someone with confidence after going ice cold in the first half will be nothing to worry about. 

New head Coach Kevin Stefanski did not seem happy with the Falcons penalties in the first half. With 7 penalties in the first half the Falcons were digging themselves a hole giving them no momentum. The Falcons did not score on any drive that had a penalty even though they made their way past midfield multiple times. Coach Stefanski has been seen mentioning the importance of coming out a head of the turn over game and playing a clean game. Week two will be about discipline and staying home. The Falcons come into week two playing division rival Carolina Panthers. Where they will have there hands full with Bryce Young and company.
